Decanter - 97pts
“A magnificent Yarra style: articulate tiers of fresh red berries entwined with tempting cedar oak prowess. Seamless and weightless, expressing lithe tannins and a frisky line of acidity that dances across the palate. Wholehearted varietal elegance.” – Decanter World Wine Awards, Platinum Winner
Halliday Wine Companion - 96+pts
“Fruit from a ’96-planted vineyard. Fermented on skins for six weeks in total and matured in French barriques (35% new). A medium-bright crimson purple. A supremely perfumed and refined cabernet. Gentle blackcurrant, pure violets and a little cedar sitting discreetly in the background. Finely detailed on the palate, with silky, long-chained tannins that caress the mouth. Finishes long. Not the most powerful or long-lived cabernet that Oakridge has made, but certainly one of the most elegant.” – Philip Rich
The Real Review - 95pts
“A touch shy at first but with air, delicate notes of blackcurrant, raspberry leaf, leather and vanilla arise. The palate flows gracefully; it’s even-keeled in its delivery. A cage of fine tannins carries it across to the finish line. It’s elegant without forsaking flavour and very approachable in its youth, although it has great aging potential.” – Gabrielle Poy
The Wine Front - 93+pts
“This is a firm, cool, elegant cabernet with structure and length well and truly on its side. It tastes of boysenberry and cedar, redcurrant and an assortment of twigs, spices and leaves. It carries a wide stretch of tannin and an upbeat mood; it almost feels nervy. It will drink beautifully with age. Drink : 2030 – 2035+” – Campbell Mattinson
