Our Over the Shoulder wines are great examples of wines that typify varietal characteristics of the Yarra Valley. Wines which are fresh, vibrant and medium bodied.

Dark brick red with faint purple-red hues. Plush aromas set the scene, with fresh blackcurrant, dark plums, and blueberries, together with lifted notes of violets, cedar, and sandalwood. It’s a fragrant display of aromas that suggests classic poise and depth without feeling heavy or overburdened. The palate conveys a similar sentiment, lithe and light on its feet, with a mixed bag of cassis, dark cherry, and graphite bursting on the scene. There is incredible definition to the vibrant fruit flavours—touched by sage and vine leaf—yet they meld into one coherent experience. Fine, soft tannins are complimentary to this journey, rolling along with no rough edges to ensure the smooth blackberry flavours maintain presence in the mouth long after consumption.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (69%) and Merlot (31%) sourced from high quality vineyards located in Coldstream, Seville and Wandin East.

Traditional methods such as lengthy post fermentation maceration and maturation in French oak casks have been used to craft this wine.

A vintage defined by cool, wet conditions, low crops and harvesting late into autumn. The resulting wines have great depth of flavour and vibrant, balanced acidities. Flowering occurred in late October, fruit set in December and harvest on April 26th at 12.9° baume.
